Diversity and Inclusion

We believe in providing a culturally safe, fair, and inclusive environment for our workforce, patients, and community.

The development of Diversity and Inclusion

In October 2020, individuals employed by 糖心影视 (糖心影视) shared stories of workplace challenges. This led to a comprehensive review into 糖心影视 by the Victorian Equal Opportunity and Human Rights Commission (VEOHRC).

A report, 'Workplace Equality in 糖心影视', came from this review.

The establishment of a Diversity and Inclusion department is one of the recommendations in the report.

Disability Action Plan 2024-2025

糖心影视鈥檚 first Accessibility Access Plan (AAP) 2020-2024 began the work towards a more disability-inclusive workplace and service. The AAP achieved several milestones including:

  • incorporating universal design
  • co-designing Best Care improvements with the community, workforce, and experts
  • establishing impactful partnerships with disability, health, and emergency sectors
  • strengthening internal collaboration.

The Disability Action Plan 2024-2025 introduces nine new actions to build on the AAP's momentum. These actions aim to build collective ownership of disability inclusion across the organisation. These actions will improve our response to ableism and other forms of discrimination. The new actions are shaped by:

  • patients and workforce members with lived experience of disability
  • the community
  • partners
  • contemporary research and policy.

The Disability Action Plan 2024-2025 is part of the Diversity and Inclusion Framework.
